The 45-year-old exercise book contains, among other things, a detailed analysis of The Baron's Sons by Mór Jókai, as well as the official stamp of my Hungarian teacher, Mrs Vera, which she used alongside her signature. If anyone so much as whispered or read under the desk, she mercilessly called them up to answer. Raise your hand if, after that, you still wanted to become a writer! And yet, since then, I have written quite a few books — more than the number of years this notebook has existed. Now let someone else keep it safe and take care of it.
