Volunteering

“Volunteering has been part of my life since high school, but it was at the From Streets to Homes Association where I found a place where I can contribute both through my profession and my hobbies to help those who truly need it, yet often receive little attention. I love sports, and through ULE’s sports ambassador campaigns I’ve been able to organise fundraising events and team competitions — turning physical activity into something community-building, healthy, and meaningful. As an architect, housing is especially important to me, so it’s a great experience to apply my professional knowledge and creativity in a very practical way through ULE’s construction and warehouse activities. I’m grateful to be part of such a versatile and creative team working to improve housing opportunities for people in need, and I truly hope they will have many more opportunities to grow in the future. I will continue to do my best to support ULE.”

“I’ve been supporting the organisation for several years — financially, with in-kind donations, by participating in renovation projects — and over time I felt I wanted to get to know them better and become more involved. They work for a cause that matters to me, and they are constantly finding new ways to involve volunteers. Baking is my hobby, and I found a way to combine it with volunteering. It’s especially rewarding that my cakes can bring joy to people who might not otherwise have access to this kind of treat.”
