Iskolai bullying: segítség helyett a családok büntetése? Szociális munkával az iskolai bullying ellen
Az iskolai bántalmazás nagyon gyakori jelenség. De mi történik akkor, amikor a bullying miatt egy gyerek már nem tud iskolába menni? Amikor
Through this program, we support the most vulnerable people in line with the Housing First approach. We renovate unused municipal housing units and provide them to homeless families, who pay an affordable, socially adjusted rent. A key element of the program is intensive social work, helping our clients maintain independent housing in the long term — which is essential for social integration.
A lakhatási válság kezeléséhez használaton kívüli, üresen álló magántulajdonú lakásokat vonunk be.
Through our rent support program, we cover part of the housing costs for refugee families in the medium to long term, making housing more affordable. The support period is at least three months, but we often work with families for years. In addition to financial support, we provide social work and, in some cases, peer mentoring.
This program supports young adults who grew up in state care, following the Housing First approach. Housing is provided in apartments purchased through public donations or through partnerships with local governments. Social work and, when needed, financial support are essential parts of the program.
Our main focus is running thematic groups and organizing community events, as well as launching new groups based on tenants’ needs. We work together to shape how our groups function, their methods, and how they address challenges. These spaces offer a safe environment for connection and for developing social skills — complementing individual support work.
Our activities addressing homelessness and housing poverty aim to reach the wider public through media presence and direct engagement with policymakers. Volunteering plays a key role in this work, creating meaningful opportunities for people from different backgrounds to meet and connect.
We collaborate with international partners, supported by the European Union, to develop new solutions to homelessness and the housing crisis. These projects focus on sharing knowledge and best practices. MMIA+ supports our refugee program, SHELTER focuses on domestic violence, AHA Budapest responds to the housing crisis in the capital with complex services.
We believe that safe housing is a basic condition for a life with dignity, and that in a fair and supportive society, everyone should have access to a decent home. Since our founding, we have helped more than 1,000 people find safe and dignified housing. Today, around 250 people are supported through our programs as tenants or through rent assistance. We do not receive state funding — our work relies largely on the commitment of individuals and companies, for which we are deeply grateful. There are many ways to stand with us — every contribution matters, and helps us give more people a chance at a dignified life.

Márta’s story is one of perseverance and the strength of a parent’s love. After years of living in the forest, her family managed to rebuild their lives. Today, not only her daughter, but her grandchild as well, can grow up in safety. You can read more about her move into housing in articles by WMN and 24.hu.
Safe housing is a fundamental condition for a life with dignity. We believe that with a fair distribution of resources, a supportive society can ensure decent housing for all. To achieve this, we develop and run model programs that provide independent housing for homeless and vulnerable people. We work together with municipalities and private individuals, and operate a network of social rental housing as well as a social rental agency. Through our first program, From Shacks to Homes, we have provided housing for more than 100 people in our first 10 years.
