The Tempo project is truly multidisciplinary: it brings together a writer who is also an active musician, a photographer who directs music videos and films, and musicians portrayed through literary texts — artists who themselves are often engaged in multiple creative fields.

The list of featured figures is diverse and illustrious. Four generations are represented across more than ninety photographic and literary portraits. While the volume is largely built on personal preferences and relationships, it offers valuable and independent reflections both for dedicated music lovers and for curious newcomers alike. The slightly gonzo-style philosophical musician portraits and the sharply elegant black-and-white photographs come together in a tightly edited volume that can be flipped through at a fast pace or slowly savoured from the comfort of a cushioned armchair.
