My name is Áron Kneifel. I am a special education teacher by qualification and currently training to become a mediator. Alongside my work as a competence and trainer manager, I also work as a climbing coach.
A year ago, I underwent surgery on my ACL and meniscus. Once I completed physiotherapy, I set myself a new goal: to complete an Ironman 70.3 distance (2 km swimming, 90 km cycling, 21 km running). Originally, I planned to compete in an official race, but seeing the situation around us made me realise that, instead of chasing a medal, I would rather direct my energy towards something more meaningful.
So on 10 May, I will complete the distance independently here in Hungary and organise a fundraiser around it. I will also donate the amount of my original registration fee myself. The donations raised will be split equally between two civil organisations, one of which is the From Streets to Homes Association.
If human dignity and compassionate treatment matter to you too, if you believe in second chances, or if my commitment inspires you even a little, please consider supporting ULE as well.
