ULE has become a member of the Housing First Europe Hub

We are proud that has become the first and only Hungarian organisation to join the Housing First Europe Hub. 

The Hub works to develop and promote the Housing First approach across Europe — just as we do in Hungary. 

Its members are organisations implementing Housing First programmes, as well as professionals committed to spreading the Housing First philosophy. They believe that homeless people should not simply be managed within homelessness services, but should instead be supported in ending their homelessness altogether. 

For many people, this means a straightforward task: those who cannot afford housing need access to more affordable solutions. In Hungary, one example of this is the municipal housing system. However, the Housing First approach leaves no one behind, and demonstrates that people living with long-term mental health challenges, trauma, or addiction can — and should — also have access to stable housing solutions. 

We could not be prouder to have been welcomed into the Hub, which recognises both the quality of our professional work and our long-term commitment. We would also like to thank our partner for supporting our membership application.
