WE ARE LOOKING FOR REFUGEE FAMILIES FROM UKRAINE WHO RENT AN APARTMENT OR A ROOM IN OR AROUND BUDAPEST, AND NEED SUPPORT TO COVER SOME OF THEIR RENTAL COSTS!
We are looking for you if:
● You are renting a room or an apartment in or around Budapest;
● You have a medium and/or long-term rental contract (6 months at least), OR
● You have not yet signed a rental contract, but you already have a verbal agreement with the owner (for medium and/or long term; in Budapest or nearby);
● You can afford to rent an apartment but might need extra financial support to cover some of the rental costs.
If you are already in contact with any aid organization or social worker, you can apply to our program together for a joint financial support. Our organizations – From Streets to Homes Association and Habitat for Humanity Hungary – are looking for refugees from Ukraine who would rent a room or an apartment, in or around Budapest, on a medium and/or long term basis.
Our program mediates between refugee families and the owners. We also help to set up an agreement and a contract and support the families with social work as well.
To provide financial support for the tenant families, we will take over a part of their payment obligations. A separate contract will be signed between the owner and one of our organizations about this agreement.
This way, we create a safe and predictable situation for both the owner and the tenant.
PARTICIPATION IN THE RENTAL SUPPORT PROGRAM INVOLVES MINIMAL ADMINISTRATION FOR THE LANDLORD,
BUT IT CAN BE A HUGE HELP FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.
